This college was established as Arya college for girls in June, 1978 with a meager strength of only 20 girls and was then taken over by the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh on 25th June, 2002 as a co-educational institution and named as Govt. Arya College, Nurpur. Over the years, since then, it has grown in infrastructure as well as academically. The college offers undergraduate courses in the faculties of Arts, Commerce, Science (Medical &Non-Medical) and B. Voc. (Retail Management and Hospitality & Tourism).We have a competitive and dedicated team of faculty, which is valued for its academic expertise, professional competence.

Govt Arya Degree College Nurpur

The Arya Girls College was taken over by the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh on 25th June, 2002 as a co-educational institution and named as Govt. Arya Degree College, Nurpur with only Arts stream. But from the academic session 2009-10. this institution also started Science (Medical 8 Non-Medical) and Commerce classes thereby fulfilling the long standing demand and aspirations of the people of this area. From June 2017, college started Bachelor of Vocation Degree (B. Voc.) Programme with two courses having 40 seats each, one in Retail Management and other in Hospitality 8 Tourism, under the scheme launched by the University Grants Commission on skill development as a part of College/University education.
